  just registered today after many months of being a silent spectator, hope to tell you a bit about myself in the days/weeks to come, but not just yet.

  i have been helped so much by what i have read here, at first i expected to find bitter and twisted rantings, not so, you all seem very normal.

  Attention to child molestation waning?

  when i first came on thie board, there was a lot of attention to it.

  someone mentioned in another post peoples attention span in todays instant gratification society that when a subject is'nt in the media spotlight, it kinda goes away.

  i want people to know that these court cases are still ongoing, & sometimes they take years to resolve.

  Is it a matter of people's attention span, apathy, or are they so involved in their lives that nothing else really matters? I guess we can come with all types of answers including the length of time that it takes for these cases to get to court.

  I believe someone came up with the question months ago, do non -JW's really take an interest in any JW issues? There is so much sex related scandals going on that it's heading in the direction of becoming the norm. If that's the case, we are in serious trouble. Where and when will we get justice?

  Far-on, I took note of your post, and when I went to visit my mom I searched for the mag. you suggested, but, I came up with an Awake like magaizine with the title, 'The Divine Name That Will Endure Forever."

  The copyright was dated 1984, have you ever seen it? It gives a history of the name, etc. Here's what it contained about 'YHWH' a picture of '...an angel with God's name found on the tomb of Pope Clement X111 in St. Peters Basilica, the Vatican.

  The following are also in pictures.

  "Many coins were minted bearing God's name. This one, dated 1661, is from Nuremburg. The Latin text reads: "Under the shadow of your wings."

  "Fourviere catholic Basilica, Lyons France."

  "Bourges Catheral, France"

  "Church in La Celle Dunoise, France."

  "Church in Digne, southern France."

  "Church in Sao Paulo, Brazil."

  "Strasbourg catheral, France."

  Saint Mark's Cathedral, Venice, Italy."

  The above is a few of the buildings and monuments that have God's name in the form of the Tetragrammaton, there are others. If you can get a copy, please do, and make your comparisons.

  Jim Pentons New Book

  i just heard from jim.

  he was telling me his new book will be published in about a year.

  it is called" jehovah's witnesses & the third reich" by university of toronto press.he was telling me there is some very new revealing material in it that will prove how rutherford & the german bransh tried to ingratiate themselves with the nazis in the summer & early fall of 1933.. he told me this privatly .i did ask if i can repeat it, he said of course.

  Mouthy, I recall reading this story once about Rutherford and his dealings with the said subject, however, you say, Penton has 'revealing' material as proof. I guess he doesn't want to let the cat out of the bag, he does have to sell his book. Make sure that Joker10 gets wind of it! Another book he personally won't invest in.

  Yes, far-on, its non-sen-si-cal. Mind you, I even checked the spelling in the dictionary before posting the word and I still mispelled it! You still got the drift though, didn't you? And that's all it matters!

  Maui Was Wonderful

  i want to go back right now.

  what a beautiful place and such friendly people.

  i enjoyed the relaxed pace there, a lot, maybe too much.. but i'm back to my reality and classes start on monday.

  Congrad., about your engagement. Did the young man ask for your hand while in Maui? When my wife and I visited the Big Island we went into the volcano, some experience.

  We had witness friends in Kauai and we visited them occasionally. I think they've moved to LA. We haven't communicated with them in years, hmmmm. I love the four seasons, so Maui would just be a visiting spot, I love the open spaces, (NA) such as Vermont, Lake Placid NY, Boston, Cape Cod and Montreal to name a few that are great places to visit or live. To each their own.

  If you plan on living in Maui, I hope things work out for you. Good hunting.

  Of the Islands I like the most, it's Maui. I hope the weather was ideal, meaning not having overcast skies. Good for you and plenty of fond memories.

  WHAT'S NEXT AFTER "REFINEMENT"?

  for years the wts has been focusing on being more efficient, refinement, etc.

  that is why many departments in the wts have merged, others eliminated.

  the lates gossip from betthel a couple of years ago was that bethel was downsizing and many bethelite would be sned home and those leaving would not be repalced, also the sale of wt property, the printibg of literaure overseas normally done here and more prining done upsate ny would seem to indicate a move out of brooklyn, to patterson.
